We thought a fun new series on the blog would be to chat about our colors. We decided to break up the colors into one post at a time. This will allow us to go indepth on the colors, their characteristics and hopefully help when trying to decide on a Leather Quill colors.
One of our most popular colors is our beautiful and rustic Turquoise Trail. This stunning blue reminds us of the doors in Santa Fe, a little rustic and vibrant.
Turquoise Trail is a color that shows the natural characteristics of the leather but is still vibrant. It shows bug bites, scars, distressing on the edges and is a very saturated color.
This color does have some variation when we hand dye them, however, most of the time your Turquoise Trail will arrive a vibrant teal blue. Water spots will cause this color to darken or turn a little brown. Water is never a friend to leather.
The inside does vary depending on the hide. The inside of our Leather Quills are a tad rougher because we do use a natural 9 to 10 oz leather but just like the outside, the inside will soften with use.
